Ben Roethlisberger is under fire from Patrick Mahomes over recent comments he made a few weeks ago.
It all began when the Steelers legend set off an NFL debate firestorm on his podcast — answering the question: who’s better, prime Aaron Rodgers or current Mahomes? Roethlisberger chose Rodgers, claiming the Chiefs superstar QB was exiting his prime — a comment that rubbed Mahomes’ trainer, Bobby Stroupe, the wrong way.
Stroupe took to social media to defend Mahomes, whose 30th birthday is just around the corner.
“Not everybody quits working out at 30 years old, Ben.”

Roethlisberger was hardly the model for fitness and career longevity during his 18-year run — even poking fun at the legendary Tom Brady for allegedly eating ‘avocado ice cream’ to stay at peak levels — but chances are, he wasn’t trying to take a shot at Mahomes.
It remains to be seen if Big Ben will respond to the criticism on the next episode of his Footbahlin with Ben Roethlisberger podcast, but his original comments were practically harmless — so it would come as no surprise if he simply brushed the situation under the rug.
