One stat to know from each Bucs draft picks college career

Get to know the new guys: one stat you need to know about each of the Buccaneers‘ 2025 Draft Picks. We did some deep diving on each of Jason Licht’s picks from this year’s class, and we found some good points that we wanted to share with you, the reader.

Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State

Stat you need to know: 14.0. The average yards per reception Egbuka racked up over his four-year career at Ohio State. Why is it significant? It’s a testament to how dangerous Egbuka is with the ball in his hands. 14 is greater than 10, which means a first down every time he touches the ball on average.

Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame

Stat you need to know: 9. The number of interceptions Morrison has in his two and a half years (had surgery six games into ‘24) at Notre Dame. Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles harped on wanting ball hawks and creating more takeaways. Morrison is just the man for the job.

Jacob Parrish, CB, Kansas State

108: The number of tackles Parrish has accumulated. Last year’s nickel corners, Tykee Smith and Christian Izien, struggled at times to finish tackles, which may give Parrish a leg up on the starting job.

David Walker, Edge, Central Arkansas

114: The number of tackles Walker has stacked in his time at Central Arkansas. Walker has been dominant and has made a second home in the backfield, and will look to translate to the NFL and bring much-needed pass rush success

Elijah Roberts, Edge, SMU

131: Number of total pressures Roberts has accumulated since 2023, the most by any player. That staggering stat gets even more impressive when you realize Robert’s lined up all over to do it.

Tez Johnson, WR, Oregon

Stay You Need to Know: 1,352. The amount of YAC yards Johnson has since 2023 is the most of any player. Tez, while docked for his size and speed at the combine, is more shifty and quick than he is fast. Think Bucky Irving but at WR.
