There are a lot of new faces to get acclimated to for the Ohio State basketball team this coming season, and rightfully so. Head coach Jake Diebler kept some key pieces he felt were important for the team moving forward, and supplemented them with transfers and freshmen he believes will mold the team into one that can get back to the NCAA Tournament after the 2025-2026 season.
One of those new pieces is Baylor big-man transfer Josh Ojianwuna who came to Columbus to add size, depth, and another scoring option in the paint. He’ll also provide some much-needed resistance in the paint and another rebounder to get Ohio State back into offensive sets.
Diebler has been taking to social media this offseason to provide some updates to the program, and part of that has been his breakdown of what some of the new faces bring to the team. He clearly likes what Ojianwuna can mean for the team. Take a look at how excited the OSU head man is to insert a big body like the native Nigerian when this winter season hits in the Schottenstein Center.

We’re still months away from the OSU basketball season getting underway, but hopefully the new faces and the familiar ones can combine to make this season much better than the last three we’ve all witnessed.
