Notre Dame OT Charles Jagusah broke his arm during an UTV accident over the holiday

It wasn’t the news that Notre Dame football wanted to hear, as on Sunday it was announced by the official press release team that projected offensive tackle starter Charles Jagusah was injured during an UTV accident and has undergone surgery on his left humerus.

While the “initial prognosis is favorable,” it remains to be seen how long he will miss as the season is rapidly approaching. It’s the second-straight season that Jagusah won’t be able to begin the season healthy, after injuring his shoulder last year.

The sophomore came into the program with plenty of hype, ranked as the nation’s No. 51 overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite. Jagusah was able to see the field last year, but only due to the Irish making it to the College Football Playoff championship game. He was viewed as a starter heading into the season, but now Notre Dame will have to find his replacement while he recovers from yet another injury.
