Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker is a seven-time Pro Bowler and is a stud at this position. That was confirmed by coaches, scouts and executives, who voted on the top 10 safeties in the league in 2025. Baker ranked eighth and was ranked no lower than 10th on any ballot.
But if we look at the list of the top safeties, the Cardinals will face many of them.
Between the top 10 and the five who received honorable mention, the Cardinals will face seven in a total of eight games.
NFL safety rankings: Top safeties the Cardinals play in 2025
These are the seven top safeties on the Cardinals’ schedule:
- No. 3 Xavier McKinney, Green Bay Packers: Week 7
- No. 4 Jessie Bates III, Atlanta Falcons: Week 16
- No. 7 Antoine Winfield Jr., Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Week 13
- No. 10 Julian Love, Seattle Seahawks: Weeks 4, 10
- Honorable mention C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Houston Texans: Week 15
- Honorable mention Tre;von Moehrig, Carolina Panthers: Week 2
- Honorable mention Calen Bullock, Houston Texans: Week 15
The Texans have two of the top 15 safeties, although none in the top 10. The Cardinals’ safety opposition gets significantly more difficult later in the season.
On the bright side, with Baker on the defensive side of the ball, it means every opponent they face will have to deal with him roaming the field.
