Fresh off a new four-year extension with the Cleveland Browns, Myles Garrett enters the 2025 season as one of the defense’s most important leaders. Garrett won the Defensive Player of the Year award in 2023, and given the talent surrounding him on the defense in 2025, it is very possible that he could reach this achievement again.

Garrett is always in contention for the top pass rusher in the league, given his special mix of strength and speed that makes him nearly unblockable. He is extremely well-respected by his peers in the league; many often comment on how difficult it is to go up against him. 

This year, he will be surrounded by a deep defensive line, including guys like Mason Graham, Alex Wright, Mike Hall Jr., and many more, giving opposing offenses even fewer ways to key in on him. Beyond just the stats, the narrative is also in his favor. The NFL awards voters love an interesting story. If the defense can rebound from last season, and the Browns can make another playoff run, Garrett will have a compelling case for winning this honor, assuming similar production to recent years.
