Michigan State women’s hoops picked up a massive win in the transfer portal on Monday.
Arizona State transfer guard Jalyn Brown committed to Michigan State on Monday night. Brown had visited Michigan State, West Virginia and Baylor, but ultimately it was the Spartans who came out on top with the big-time get via the portal.
Brown starred for Arizona State the past two seasons, leading the Sun Devils in scoring. This past year Brown averaged 18 points per game and the year before that she averaged 17.3 points per game.
Michigan State women’s basketball has reached the NCAA Tournament the last two seasons, and should once again be in position to go dancing next year. Adding Brown via the portal will only raise their ceiling and hopefully push Michigan State into position to reach the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2009.
