Minnesota Vikings reporter gives honest thoughts on Christian Darrisaw's return in 2025

The Minnesota Vikings offense will go as far as the offensive line will take it in 2025. While Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has the quarterback and surrounding skill players in place, they need a reliable offensive line or else it is all for nothing.

One of the key pieces is offensive tackle Christian Darrisaw, who will be coming off a season-ending knee injury from the 2024 season. The Athletic’s Alec Lewis shared various details on the Vikings roster in a recent piece, one of the nuggets centered around the return date of the former first-round draft pick.

Lewis writes, “Will he be back in time for Week 1? That’s probably a rosy expectation at this point. Still, Darrisaw has attacked his rehab. The Vikings have commended his progress.”

While no one wants to see Darrisaw miss anytime, the Vikings did seemingly plan for this.

Minnesota signed the Bucs’ former swing tackle Justin Skule in free agency. He proved to be a very serviceable and reliable player for Tampa Bay during his time there, and he could be a good piece for the Vikings in the interim.

This would allow for Darrisaw to be brought along slowly while his knee recovers to 100%.
