Part of the fun whenever visiting 2300 Arena is the surprise factor from past ECW characters. At ROH Death Before Dishonor (Aug. 29, 2025), the special guest was Blue Meanie. Billie Starkz brought him in as a Minion in Training to entertain Athena. That plan backfired when the Fallen Goddess caught Meanie dancing with Mina Shirakawa.
Athena retained the ROH Women’s World Championship over Mina. That is a match worth watching, especially since ROH posted the full PPV on YouTube. For the purposes here, the focus is on Athena’s entrance with Blue Meanie.
Athena is typically stiff and doesn’t play along when it comes to dancing. Blue Meanie must have melted her cold heart, because the Forever Champ was grooving at full speed. The good vibes quickly turned sour. Meanie started dancing with Mina. I can’t blame him. Everyone wants Mina. Athena sent Meanie packing to the back.
Meanie’s membership in MIT was quickly revoked. Backstage after the match, he explained that he can’t help himself when others are dancing. The hips don’t lie. Starkz had to hold Athena back from serving an ass whooping.
Blue Meanie’s membership in MIT was short but memorable.
At the post-show media scrum, Athena gave a glimpse behind the scenes about her fondness for Blue Meanie. She did the dance often on long car rides with her husband, and she gushed that the dance fits for every kind of music. Athena was giddy about this scene and considered it an early birthday present.
