Michigan State releases 'Gameday Timeline' for season-opener vs. Western Michigan

Michigan State football is back on Friday night, with a full day of festivities planned for those who’ll be in East Lansing, Mich. for the game.

The Spartans open the 2025 season with a home non-conference matchup against Western Michigan on Friday night. Kickoff from Spartan Stadium is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET, but the timeline for the day at Michigan State begins way before that.

According to a post from Michigan State football’s official X account, the day will start with parking lots opening as early as 11 a.m. ET, with most of the lots opening at 2 p.m. ET for tailgating and parking. From there, new and traditional events will take place, including the new Munn Tailgate and Meijer Fan Fest and Team Spartan Walk. This will all lead up to the gates opening at 5:30 p.m. ET for the general public and eventual kickoff of 7:05 p.m. ET (to be exact).

For those not attending the game, you can watch it on FS1.
