Michigan State football lands commitment from Indiana State tight end transfer

Michigan State football added another player during this transfer portal window on Sunday, landing a commitment from former Indiana State tight end Kai Rios.

Rios, who just wrapped up his sophomore season, caught seven passes for 61 yards and a touchdown last year for the Sycamores. While he didn’t have huge production, Rios does have a huge frame for a tight end at 6-foot-6, 260 pounds.

According to On3 Sports, Rios had offers from Kent State, North Dakota, and recently visited Vanderbilt, but has chosen to head to East Lansing and join the Spartans.

Rios was an unranked player in the 2022 recruiting class. He caught one pass as a freshman but started to come on last year for the Sycamores. His best game came against Murray State, where he had two catches for 23 yards and a touchdown.
