In the 2025 recruiting cycle, Michigan football shocked the world by landing the No. 1 overall recruit in quarterback Bryce Underwood. From a distance, Michigan basketball head coach Dusty May looked on, unwilling to be outdone by his football counterpart in Sherrone Moore. On Saturday morning, the Wolverines got their third transfer portal commitment of the offseason, and it’s as big as it could get. Rated the top transfer portal player by both On3 and 247Sports, UAB power forward Yaxel Lendeborg has chosen to play for the maize and blue.

The 6-foot-9 senior from Pennsauken, New Jersey starred with the Blazers, averaging 17.7 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game in the 2024-25 season.
With Vlad Goldin moving on, though Lendeborg does not have his size, he will certainly add some scoring and rebounding prowess consistently given his track record.
Lendeborg joins North Carolina transfer Elliot Cadeau and Illinois transfer Morez Johnson Jr. in the 2025 transfer portal class.
