Michael Jordan’s Son Reacts to Luka Doncic’s Decision

Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic showed his respect for an NBA all-time great player in a special way.

Doncic, 26, made an appearance on Friday at Marcus Jordan’s – son of Michael Jordan – Trophy Room clothing store in Orlando, Florida.

In a photo posted to Marcus Jordan’s Instagram story, Doncic is seen wearing a black shirt with a small box logo of the former Chicago Bulls player during the 1985 Dunk Contest wearing the signature gold chain.

“@LukaDoncic Lookin’ Game Ready in @TrophyRoomStore 🏆™️✨,” Marcus Jordan, 34, wrote above the photo.

Doncic’s decision to pay homage to one of the sports icons is no surprise since he’s been a member of the Jordan brand since Dec. 2019, when he became the company’s first European-born athlete. He also signed a long-term extension with the athletic wear company in Aug. 2023 that extends through 2029.

Doncic is considered one of Jordan Brand’s premiere athletes, alongside fellow players Jayson Tatum, Zion Williamson, Russell Westbrook and Rui Hachimura. Their other athletes include WNBA players Maya Moore, Jordin Canada, Satou Sabally, Chelsea Dungee and Aerial Powers.

Doncic is also considered an “essential part of the roster that will help lead the Jordan Brand into the future,” according to the brand, because he is a global superstar. The former Dallas Maverick released the latest version of his signature shoes, the “Luka 4” and “Jordan Luka .77” on April 8.

The shoes can be found on the Nike website in the “Navigator,” “Gone Fishing,” “Space Navigator” and “Bloodline” styles. Colors on the kicks include light blue, lime green, pink, yellow, orange and grey.

Marcus Jordan’s Trophy Room store in Orlando sells select classic Jordan brand apparel including shoes, shirts and jerseys. He opened the boutique in 2016 to sell items that bring inspiration from the actual Jordan family home, including Doncic’s signature shoes.
