Marlon Humphrey went from all-talk to ball hawk in 2024

Baltimore Ravens defensive back Marlon Humphrey finished No. 3 in the NFL in interceptions during the 2024 NFL season. After critics, including myself, chastised him for his over-involvement in his podcast, Humphrey decided to hone in on his craft and reinstate his dominance as a pass defender this past NFL season.

In 2024, Humphrey recorded six interceptions and 16 pass deflections over the course of 16 games, which is quite impressive given the talented receivers he faced, including all-pro Davante Adams, George Pickens of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Ja’Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals, among others. Although the Ravens’ pass defense ranked near the bottom of the NFL in terms of pass yards allowed per game in the early months of the season, Humphrey consistently gave his all in every game.

As training camp approaches for the Ravens in 2025, fans should expect Humphrey to act as a vocal leader for the team’s secondary. With a plethora of young talent to mentor, Humphrey could do for yet another heroic season for the Ravens.
