Lucas Perri (27) could be about to make a move to the Premier League, according to a report from L’Équipe. 

Rayan Cherki has already been sold by Olympique Lyonnais. The France international joined Manchester City in a €42m deal, however, more sales will be needed in order to secure the club’s financial future. Be it in Ligue 2 or Ligue 1, there will be a period of austerity, and funds are needed this summer. 

Perri now looks like a prime candidate to leave Lyon, ahead of the club’s hearing for their appeal against relegation to Ligue 2, set to take place later this week. The Brazilian has been linked with AS Monaco, who have considered many different targets in their search for a new No.1. 

However, L’Équipe understands that Perri could be sold in the coming days for a €23m fee. A move to the Premier League is a probable destination for the shotstopper. Newly promoted Leeds United have been heavily linked with the player.
