LSU football head coach Brian Kelly delivered good news when he met with the media on Monday.
LSU is entering its week one battle vs. Clemson in good health. According to Kelly, the entire roster will be available when LSU hits the field.
“We had a couple of bumps and bruises, as most would, but I would think that at this point right now, as I stand in front of you, we expect everybody to be available to us,” Kelly said.
It’s always good to enter the year at full strength. Not every team can say that when fall camp comes to a close. Brian Kelly praised LSU’s strength and conditioning staff earlier this offseason for the job they’ve done in preventing soft tissue injuries.
LSU has made load management an effort this month. The Tigers have given rest days to linebackers Whit Weeks and Harold Perkins after both underwent surgeries in the last year. Quarterback Garrett Nussmeier earned a few off days as well.
Receivers Nic Anderson and Destyn Hill both dealt with nagging injuries this offseason, but the transfer pass catchers look good to go.
LSU will have a deep rotation on both sides of the ball on Saturday night.
