The second Auburn Tiger is officially off the board in the 2025 NFL draft.
KeAndre Lambert-Smith joins Jarquez Hunter by taking his talents to Los Angeles. However, he will wear different shades of blue and gold. The Los Angeles Chargers selected Lambert-Smith with the 158th overall pick in the fifth round of the NFL draft.
Lambert-Smith led the Tigers in receiving last season, hauling in 50 catches for 981 yards and eight touchdowns. He was the highest-graded receiver at Auburn last season with an 80.4 in the category. He reached that number by hauling in 63.3% of his targeted passes for an average of 19.6 yards per catch. He dropped only three of his 79 targeted passes last season and made seven “contested” catches according to data from Pro Football Focus.
The Chargers are looking to fill several holes at wide receiver this season, and Lambert-Smith will compete for a place in the rotation during rookie mini-camp and summer OTAs. He joins a wide receiver room that features Ladd McConkey, Quintin Johnson, and Brendan Rice.
Lambert-Smith joins Jarquez Hunter as a Tiger being selected on day three of the NFL draft. Hunter was taken in the fourth round by the Los Angeles Rams with the 117th overall pick.
