RC Lens have struck an agreement to sign Odsonne Édouard (27) from Crystal Palace, according to a report from RMC Sport

Lens have been in the market for a centre-forward all summer. They looked to have got their man when an agreement to sign AJ Auxerre’s Lassine Sinayoko was reported. However, at the final hour, Auxerre decided to retain the Mali international, much to Lens’ frustration.

Édouard, meanwhile, looks to be on the way out this summer, having been made surplus to requirements. He reportedly turned down an offer to join Girona. While a touted move to OGC Nice stalled, with the club eventually looking at other targets.

But an agreement has now been struck and Édouard does now look set to leave Selhurst Park. As per RMC Sport, the deal is worth €5m, including bonuses. The Frenchman is expected to sign a three-year deal. He is expected in Lens in the coming hours to complete his medical.
