Koa Peat, Team USA dominant in win over Jordan in FIBA U19 World Cup

Five-star 2026 forward Tyran Stokes posted a triple-double off the bench while Team USA scored 56 points off 37 opponent turnovers during the Americans’ 140-67 win over Jordan in a FIBA U19 World Cup game Wednesday in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Arizona’s Koa Peat was one of eight USA players in double-figure scoring while the Americans shot 61.5% overall and held Jordan to just 38.0% in the record-setting game. USA’s 140 points set a single-game FIBA U19 World Cup scoring record, and Stokes’ triple-double was the first ever posted by a USA player in U19 competition.

The round of 16 win moved USA into a quarterfinal game against Canada (3-1) on Friday at a 8:15 a.m. Led by Arizona coach Tommy Lloyd, USA is 4-0 overall in the FIBA U19 World Cup and Jordan is now 0-4, including a forfeited loss to Israel.

While Stokes had 19 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in 24 minutes off the bench against Jordan on Wednesday, Peat had 13 points and three rebounds while playing just 13 minutes. Michigan forward Morez Johnson also helped lead USA with 19 points and five rebounds.
