Kevin Winston, T'Vondre Sweat return to Tennessee Titans practice

The Tennessee Titans were back on the practice field on Thursday as they welcomed their new teammates into the fold. During that process, the numbers for all five of the newest acquisitions were released for the first time.

While no major news stories emerged from the session, a few important nuggets of information were revealed that could impact the Titans heading into their season opener against the Denver Broncos

Rookies Kevin Winston and Kalel Mullings were both kept out of team drills, but were present and worked on the side field with trainers during practice. For Winston, this is the first practice since being shut down with knee soreness early in training camp. It’s also a good sign for Mullings, who was injured during the preseason finale against the Minnesota Vikings

Also returning to the field on Thursday was defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat, who missed the past few weeks after undergoing a tonsillectomy. Sweat was a full participant and should be ready to go for the opener. Joining Sweat as a full-go was cornerback L’Jarius Sneed, who took part in all team activities as he works his way back from offseason knee surgery.

Not all of the injury news was positive, as starting right tackle JC Latham was held out of practice due to soreness. While he is expected to be ready to go, it is something to monitor as Week 1 draws closer.
