It was comfortable, then tense, then a win for the Indiana Fever without Caitlin Clark on Friday.

Led by 32 points from Kelsey Mitchell, the Fever survived a 23-point comeback from Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings to win 94-86 while missing their franchise superstar. Clark was out for a second straight game due to a groin injury.

The game had the makings of a Fever blowout after Indiana opened the game on a 24-5 run, but the Wings chipped away at the lead for the next three quarters. Dallas took its first lead of the game with 5:29 remaining, only for the Fever to reel off a 9-0 run to put the game out of reach.
