The Kansas City Chiefs made it all the way to the Super Bowl this past season despite a number of injuries to some of their most influential players.

One of those players was young star wide receiver Rashee Rice.

But so far this offseason, he has reportedly been working out, and superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes could not be happier to have one of his best weapons back.

“He looks like Rashee,” Mahomes told the media in an interview this past Thursday. “There’s no limitations. He looks explosive and fast.”

The 25-year-old wideout suffered a very serious injury in Week 4 of the 2024 season against the Los Angeles Chargers, and missed the rest of the year as a result. Now that he is back, he will be looking to improve on his impressive rookie year.

He finished the 2023 season with 938 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, as he quickly became one of Mahomes’ favorite targets in his first year in the league.

The receiving leader for the Chiefs this past season was star tight end Travis Kelce with just 823 yards, so having a young receiver of Rice’s caliber back in the lineup will be a breath of fresh air.

There is a chance that Rice has to serve a suspension as a result of his role in a street-racing crash last March. But if he doesn’t, he will be hoping that he can stay on the field the entire season and help the Chiefs redeem their loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.
