Kansas big man Hunter Dickinson added to pre-draft workouts for Sixers

The Philadelphia 76ers have some work to do in order to move forward in the 2025 NBA draft. They currently own the No. 3 pick in the draft as well as the No. 35 pick in Round 2 so President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey and his staff are putting together pre-draft workouts to get everything ready to go for June 25.

The focus for the Sixers will be what they do with that No. 3 selection. They will either bring in one of the top talents in the draft, or they can trade back and acquire more draft assets as well as a win-now player. There are plenty of teams who would be willing to trade up to No. 3.

With that being said, the Sixers have to think about the second round of the draft, too. They can bring in a solid player at No. 35, or they can even look to the undrafted free agent pool and bring in another good, young piece as they have in the past.

Per Cody Taylor of The Rookie Wire, the Sixers have brought in Kansas big man Hunter Dickinson for a workout. A 5-year collegiate–three years with Michigan and two with Kansas–Dickinson averaged 17.4 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in the 2024-25 season and had a decorated college career. He was named the 2021 Big Ten Rookie of the Year, was named to the All-Big Ten team three times, and twice named to the All-Big 12 Team.

Dickinson joins Rutgers’ Ace Bailey, Baylor’s VJ Edgecombe, and Wisconsin’s John Blackwell on the known list of players who have worked out for the Sixers. Blackwell returned to college, but the other three remain in the draft. Dickinson, 24, will likely be an undrafted free agent candidate for Philadelphia.
