Roma are looking to further strengthen their squad after securing Daniele Ghilardi’s signing.
In attack, the top target remains Claudio Echeverri, the young Argentine player courted by Gasperini and who has already expressed his preference for Roma.
However, Manchester City, his owners, are aiming for a loan move to Girona, while Massara continues to insist on a buy-out option.
According to Il Messaggero, in the meantime Gasperini has also reportedly indicated a new attacking profile to evaluate: Brighton’s Julio Enciso, a Paraguayan attacking midfielder born in 2004, who has returned from a loan spell at Ipswich Town.
The player is on his way out, and although his current valuation is around €20 million, his contract expiring in 2026 could lead to a discount on the asking price.
