Josh Allen and Cam Ward Featured as Tampa Bay Buccaneers Announce 2025 Preseason Schedule

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are poised for a run at a fifth straight NFC South division title and sixth consecutive postseason appearance. Those streaks started with a 31-9 Super Bowl LV win over Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

On Wednesday, we got the official 2025 schedule for the Bucs, and on Thursday, the preseason schedule that will lead into their hopefully historic run. No team has won five straight NFC South titles since the division’s inception in 2002.

Tampa Bay caught a break by having two of the three games at home.

The Bucs will open the preseason at home against the Tennessee Titans at Raymond James Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 9 at 7:30 p.m. before hitting the road to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers on Saturday, Aug. 16 at 7 p.m. ET.

The team returns home to wrap up the preseason against the Buffalo Bills on Saturday, Aug. 23, at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The Bucs will then cut down to 53 players by the Aug. 27 deadline before kicking off the regular season on the road in Atlanta on Sept. 7 at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.

Here is the Tampa Bay 2025 preseason schedule:

The game against Buffalo is notable since the Bills have never played a preseason game in Tampa. Two of the previous four meetings between the Bills and Buccaneers were at neutral sites at Orlando’s Citrus Bowl in 1993 and at Vanderbilt Stadium in Nashville in 1988.

And of course the idea of Allen playing … and of No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward playing for the Titans … is enticing stuff.
