Despite their extra inning victory Monday night, the Philadelphia Phillies have not been looking like a World Series team lately. The Fightins have dropped nine of their last 11 games with an offense that has seemingly lost its punch.

But one of the best hitters in franchise history isn’t panicking yet.

Jimmy Rollins joined Bleacher Report’s Walkoff Live Tuesday evening to discuss the state of several MLB contenders, starting with the club he spent the bulk of his career with. Like he usually was in his playing career, J-Roll was calm and collected while giving his answer on the Phillies.

“Not even sweating,” Rollins said. “We’re not as healthy as we need to be. Bryce (Harper) in that lineup makes a huge difference, and hopefully we’ll be getting a healthy Bryce back. So I wouldn’t panic.”

Rollins is well regarded as one of the key pieces during Philly’s five straight NL East Division titles from 2007-2011. He won the NL MVP in ’07, as well as the first of four Hold Gloves. He famously called the Phillies the team to beat that year, which came to pass when they edged out the New York Mets thanks to a late season surge.

Near the end of his tenure, Rollins passed Hall of Fame third baseman Mike Schmidt for the most hits in Phillies’ franchise history with 2,235. That record still stands to this day. Later this summer, Rollins will be inducted into the Phillies’ Wall of Fame, joining fellow ’08 World Series Champion Cole Hamels and many other team legends.

As Rollins mentioned, current Phillies star Bryce Harper remains out of the lineup with right wrist inflammation. He has missed nine of the last 12 games, during which the Philly offense is barely managing three runs per game.

Harper is eligible to return from the injured list on Monday, June 16th.
