Butler joined the Warriors in a blockbuster trade with the Miami Heat prior to the NBA trade deadline last season in February. With Butler alongside Green and Steph Curry, the Warriors rallied down the stretch run of the season with an impressive 23-7 record.

Butler and Green quickly paired as a formidable defensive duo for the Warriors. With Butler in the lineup alongside Green, the Warriors jumped from ninth in defensive rating to first. The Warriors finished the season with 111.0 defensive rating, ranking seventh in the NBA.

To make a run back to the postseason, the Warriors will likely continue to lean on both Green and Butler on the defensive side of the court.
