The New York Jets moved on from the toxic Aaron Rodgers culture this offseason. New general manager Darren Mougey and head coach Aaron Glenn are tasked with repairing the locker room. Thus far, Coach Glenn has passed every test with flying colors, with players routinely praising his approach and ability to hold them accountable.
Veteran backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor is one of the holdovers from last season. That places Taylor in a unique position, one that allows him to spot the differences between last year and this campaign. Taylor recently spoke glowingly about the culture shift occurring in East Rutherford right now.
“I think when you’re shifting culture and starting fresh, I think there are certain qualities that you have to have in a head coach,” Taylor said at the podium. “I think Coach Glenn has them all. He gets the respect from the locker room just by the way he presents himself. His message to the team has been consistent from day one. He’s a straight shooter. The conversation is always transparent.“

Coach Glenn was the ideal candidate to shift the Jets’ toxic culture. A former Jets player, Glenn understands what makes the organization special, and he’s working hard to restore that feeling. Owner Woody Johnson made a phenomenal decision to appoint him this offseason.
