Despite already having one of the best defensive fronts in football, the Los Angeles Rams got even better in that department this weekend. They selected edge rusher Josaiah Stewart and defensive lineman Ty Hamilton in the 2025 NFL Draft, adding two more disruptive players up front.
Stewart is a particularly exciting player with his non-stop motor and relentless pursuit to the football, similar to another Rams defender: Jared Verse.
Over the weekend, Verse welcomed Stewart to Los Angeles with a cool message on social media. He says the Rams defense “just got a little scarier” with the addition of Stewart, knowing the type of intensity he brings to the pass rush.
This defense just got a little scarier…. Let’s work, Josiah! Welcome to LA

Stewart doesn’t have the size or length as a pass rusher that Verse does, but they both play every down like it’s their last. The combination of those two on the edges, along with Byron Young, should give the Rams a pass-rush rotation that wears down opposing offensive linemen.
Stewart will need to earn a role on defense first but the fourth-round edge rusher is going to lay it all out on the field every time he steps between the white lines.
