Jun. 7—VALLEY CITY, N.D. — The Jamestown Post 14 Eagles scored two runs in the seventh inning to get a 7-6 win over Oakes Post 36 on Saturday, June 7, at Valley City State’s Charlie Brown Field.
The Eagles got off to a fast start with a three-run homer from C.Busch pushing his team in front 3-0. Post 36 responded with a run in the bottom of hte first to bring it closer before the Eagles added one in the third. The Post 36 squad continued oto fight though and scored one in the fourth and then two in the fifth to tie the game up at 4.
The Eagles retook the lead at 5-4 in the fifth before Post 36 took their first lead of the day on a fielder’s choice in the sixth to go up 6-5. The Eagles’ Brenner Weber started the scoring in the seventh when he came home on a passed ball before a bases-loaded walk pushed them in front at 7-6.
The Eagles are back in action at noon on Sunday, June 8, with their opponent still to be determined.
