Instant analysis of the Eagles signing former Broncos RB Audric Estime

An already deep running back group is getting another talented addition as the Eagles are signing former Broncos draft pick, Audric Estime, to the practice squad.

A former Notre Dame running back, Estime finished the 2024 regular season with 76 carries for 310 yards and two touchdowns while catching all five of his targets for 27 yards. He also committed two fumbles (one lost) across 13 games.

James Palmer confirmed the move, stating that it was a practice squad signing.

Estime was inactive for the Broncos‘ wild-card loss to the Broncos, as Denver opted to go with a three-man running back rotation of Javonte Williams, Jaleel McLaughlin, and Tyler Badie. The 21-year-old Estime was unable to separate himself as the No. 1 option in the Denver backfield.

With the reactions trickling in, we’re looking at an instant analysis of the deal.

Estime is still only 21

At 5-foot-11, 227 pounds,  Estime fits the thunder role that Philadelphia has with A.J. Dillon and Saquon Barkley, while Will Shipley will play the role of lightning. The former Notre Dame product is still only 21 years old and could put pressure on Dillon as the season progresses.

Estime could flourish behind Eagles‘ offensive line

A one-cut and go running back, Estime would eat behind the Eagles’ dominant offensive line.
