Despite the fact that she was the world No. 1 for over a year, Iga Swiatek had never made it beyond the quarterfinals at Wimbledon – until this year. Swiatek, now ranked No. 8, will face No. 35 Belinda Bencic at the semi-finals this Thursday where they will meet on Centre Court. The winner of their match will face the winner of the other women’s semi between Aryna Sabalenka and Amanda Anisimova at the championship final on Saturday.
