And the likes of Remco Evenepoel, Primož Roglič and Carlos Rodriguez are never too far from the conversation.
It was Danish rider Jasper Philipsen who was fastest out of the blocks, sprinting his way to a chaotic Stage 1 win in Lille. But with 20 stages still to go and the likes of Pogačar and Vingegaard finishing just 10 seconds behind, the favorites won’t be getting too worried yet.
