How to watch Tigers vs Diamondbacks

Detroit Tigers pitcher Dietrich Enns (51) celebrates 10-4 win over Toronto Blue Jays at Comerica Park in Detroit on Sunday, July 27, 2025.

One day after the Detroit Tigers finally snapped their six-game losing streak, manager A.J. Hinch will try and steer his team back on course against the team that gave him his start as a manager as the Tigers take on the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday, July 28,through Wednesday.

The Tigers won just their second game in the last 14 on Sunday against the new best team in baseball, the Toronto Blue Jays. But they haven’t strung two wins together since they won two games over the Rays on June 7-8.

Since July 9, the team has been in free fall, tumbling down to the eighth-best record in baseball and losing half of their division lead. They’ve been outscored by 53 runs, struck out more than 125 times and had fewer than 25 extra base hits. The Tigers also hadn’t won at home in 7 games before Sunday night’s 10-4 victory.

The good news for the Tigers is that the Diamondbacks are selling right now. They’ve already traded first baseman Josh Naylor to the Mariners, and outfielder Randal Grichuk was dealt to the Kansas City Royals mid-game Saturday. The Tigers have a chance to regain ground in the race to the top of the league over the course of the series.
