For the first time, the PFL has set up shop in Africa for a PFL Champions Series event at the southern tip of the continent in Cape Town, South Africa.

PFL Champions Series: Africa takes place Saturday at GrandWest Arena in Cape Town, South Africa.

The card streams on ESPN+ at 5 p.m. ET and features a middleweight title fight at the top of the lineup. 

Main event: Johnny Eblen

• Record: 16-0
• Opponent: Costello van Steenis (16-3)
• Division: Middleweight
• Key wins: Fabian Edwards (twice), Impa Kasanganay, Gegard Mousasi
• Misc.: Eblen beat Mousasi three years ago to win Bellator’s middleweight title and defended it twice before the PFL merger. Since then, he beat Kasanganay in a Bellator vs. PFL champ-vs.-champ matchup and defended the belt again – but under the PFL banner. 

Main event: Costello van Steenis

• Record: 16-3
• Opponent: Johnny Eblen (16-0)
• Division: Middleweight
• Key wins: Fabian Edwards
• Misc.: Fan favorite van Steenis has won four of his past five, but most recently his Von Flue choke win over Gregory Babene 14 months ago and a highlight-reel head kick KO in a featured bout at the PFL 2024 championships caught enough attention to warrant a title shot. 

Co-main event: Dakota Ditcheva

• Record: 14-0
• Opponent: Sumiko Inaba (8-1)
• Division: Women’s flyweight
• Key wins: Taila Santos, Jena Bishop
• Misc.: On the heels of her 2024 PFL championship, Ditcheva finally got the chance to get active again. Her 93 percent finishing rate will be a talking point when she steps into the cage against Inaba, who never has been finished. 

Co-main event: Sumiko Inaba

• Record: 8-1
• Opponent: Dakota Ditcheva (14-0)
• Division: Women’s flyweight
• Key wins: Veta Arteaga, Randi Field
• Misc.: Inaba was on the cusp of a Bellator women’s flyweight title shot a couple years back, but was upset by Denise Kielholtz in the promotion’s final official event. She’s bounced back with consecutive wins in 2024, but this will be her first action in 10 months.
