Hawkeye Running Backs shine in opener

Xavier Williams led Iowa with 122 yards rushing.

It really didn’t seem to matter much who Iowa’s offense lined up with in the backfield on Saturday. Whether it was Kamari Moulton, TJ Washington, Xavier Williams, or Jaziun Patterson, they were success in the ground and pound attack. The group called “The Stable” ran for over 300 yards in the season opener against Albany.

Two of those backs, TJ Washington and the star of the day, Xavier Williams spoke with the media about the keys to their success on Saturday.
