I have no words for this team. I have continuously fewer words for this team after every game, regardless of outcome.
Logan Allen started this game about as badly as one could (other than Eury Perez). But, I’ll give him credit. Despite all of my doubts about his future on this roster, he locked in and gave you 5 scoreless innings (after that first inning). The bullpen, too, helped you out. 3 scoreless innings from Herrin and Junis. Not the prettiest, but zeroes on the board are all that matter in a singular game.
Nolan Jones had another great game, going 2-4, HR 2B 1RBI 2R. Another impressive performance, including this throw to nab Arozarena at third.
Kwan had an encouraging game, despite going 1-4. Had a 100.6mph unlucky lineout in the 3rd, and another unlucky lineout in the 5th. Also, the game-winning sac fly.
Manzardo continued his hot 2nd half stretch, going 2-3 with a homer, a walk, and a 97mph single.
I’m not quite sure how to explain to you how we won this game, so I’ll just show (or remind) you instead.
Chaos. And on a night honoring the legendary ‘95 Indians, I’m not sure if there exists a more fitting way to win this game. Though, not quite in the fashion that that team would’ve won it. But, to each their own. Also, against Seattle. Lol. Wins like these (or any win, for that matter) against the Mariners will always make me happy.
Anyway, it’s Gavin against Logan Gilbert tomorrow. This series is massively important if this team wants to make the playoffs, so go get a series dub.
Goodnight.
