Apr. 10—GRAND FORKS — Golf courses are beginning to open around the Grand Forks area following an offseason that was easy to clean up.
King’s Walk, Grand Forks Country Club, Lincoln Golf Course and Valley Golf Course will be opening by the end of this week. Ray Richards will be opening at a later date.
Driving ranges at King’s Walk, Grand Forks Country Club and Valley Golf course opened Tuesday, April 8. The Country Club will be open to play for members on Friday with no cart restrictions.
At King’s Walk, the Arnold Palmer signature course in south Grand Forks, depending on the weather, golfing will start Thursday and carts will be available. The interior of the clubhouse will have a new look following renovations to Eagles Crest Grill in the winter.
The nine-hole course at Lincoln Park will be open to the public on Friday with no cart restrictions. As usual, there will be a cart path-only rule in place on Holes No. 4 and No. 9.
As for courses that will be dealing with restrictions to start the season, Valley in East Grand Forks will be open to the public on Friday but will not have carts available.
