Georgia DL ranked among college football's top 50 players

Georgia Bulldogs defensive lineman Christen Miller has been named as the No. 37 best player for the 2025 college football season. Miller, who missed spring practice with a shoulder injury, is expected to be Georgia’s best defensive lineman and is projected to be an early 2026 NFL draft pick.

Miller posted 27 tackles, one pass deflection and 1.5 sacks for the Dawgs in 2024. He’s poised to have a large role in 2025 with all six of Georgia’s 2024 sack leaders leaving via the draft or the transfer portal. Miller along with Gabe Harris are Georgia’s top returning pass rushers.

“Miller will need to shed blockers more consistently this season, and if he commands doubleteams, he will need to make sure he occupies those two bodies in ways which allow teammates to make plays,”said Matt Zemek of College Sports Wire. “Being able to bull-rush up the middle on passing downs is something else Miller needs to do more consistently and at a higher level.”

Georgia defensive lineman Christen Miller (52) arrives with the team before the start of the G-Day spring football game in Athens, Ga., on Saturday, April 13, 2024.

Coach Kirby Smart needs Miller to show significant improvement this season. Miller should see a lot of snaps this fall as Georgia looks to rebuild from 2024. Georgia is replacing a lot of talent along the defensive line including first-round pick Mykel Williams.

Miller has sky-high potential, but has not been the most productive player in his career. 2025 represents the biggest opportunity of Miller’s career.
