The Georgia Bulldogs remain the favorites to land the top prospect in the 2026 recruiting class. But before that happens, he will could make a couple more visits.
This week, five-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell is visiting the Oregon Ducks in Eugene, Ore. Cantwell posted a picture on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, saying he and his family have officially arrived on Oregon’s campus.
“Flight got delayed a lot but we here,” wrote Cantwell.
The offensive tackle announced on April 23 that he pushed back his recruitment decision to May 13. In addition to the Bulldogs and Ducks, Cantwell is also considering the Miami Hurricanes and Ohio State Buckeyes.
The tackle previously eliminated the Michigan Wolverines and Missouri Tigers from the competition.
The good news for Georgia is the Bulldogs will get the final opportunity to court Cantwell. The offensive tackle will make an unofficial visit to Georgia the weekend of May 10.
Mainly for that reason, On3’s Steven Wiltfong argued on April 23 that the Bulldogs are the favorites to land Cantwell.

The other reason to consider the Bulldogs the favorite is Georgia offensive line coach Stacy Searels.
“Ever since I got offered there we’ve had a good relationship and I’ve talked to him a bunch,” Cantwell told Wiltfong. “I know basically everything I need to know about their o-line room from what I’ve seen so far.”
Standing at nearly 6-foot-8 and 300 pounds, Cantwell is the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2026 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. Obviously, he’s also the top offensive lineman and Missouri recruit.
