Apr. 15—BEMIDJI — Two Beavers of the future are garnering NHL Draft buzz.
Raiden LeGall, a 2006-born goaltender, was listed as the 28th-best goaltending prospect by Central Scouting in the final 2025 NHL Draft rankings. Defenseman Aiden Ziprick, born in 2005, was listed as the 162nd-best skater.
LeGall started the 2024-25 season with the Niverville Nighthawks in the MJHL before playing 23 regular-season games with the Everett Silvertips in the WHL. Legall posted a 2.17 goals-against average and a .921 save percentage.
In six playoff games, Legall is 5-1-0 with a .940 save percentage and a .210 goals-against average.
LeGall, standing at 5-foot-11 and 174 pounds, will likely play at least one more year in the WHL before joining the Beavers.
LeGall is a Moden, Manitoba native.
Ziprick, a 6-foot-1, 187-pound defender, has 12 goals and 36 assists on the Moose Jaw Warriors’ blue line in 68 WHL games this season.
Ziprick is a Russell, Manitoba native.
Ziprick is the latest of seven CHL recruits BSU has nabbed since the NCAA’s amendment on Nov. 7, 2024.
