Florida StateLB Ethan Pritchard has reportedly been hospitalized tonight. That comes after a shooting involving him in Havana, Florida, according to a pair of sources for those atWarchant.

WCTV reported from Gadsen County that there was a shooting earlier tonight at the Havana Heights Apartments. Someone was taken to the hospital, with Warchant confirming from a source that the person was Pritchard.

“His condition has not yet been confirmed, but one source told Warchant that he was still breathing when taken from the scene by ambulance,” Ira Schoffel wrote tonight.

“While details have not yet been made available by authorities, one source close to the Florida State football program said they were told Pritchard was a victim of a random act of violence. But that has not been confirmed,” wrote Schoffel.

“Gadsden County Sheriff Morris Young confirmed one man was shot Sunday night. Young said the shooting happened near Havana Heights Apartments at the corner of 16th Street and South Main Street,” they also reported tonight at WCTV. “The man was taken to the hospital. No details were given on his condition or identity. Deputies are on the scene.”

Pritchard is a freshman in the football program at Florida State. He did not make an appearance yesterday, though, in the Seminoles’ opening win in an upset over No. 8 Alabama.

Pritchard, a native of Sanford, Florida, played his high school football at Seminole High School. He was the No. 555 overall recruit there as a three-star in the 2025 recruiting cycle. He also rated as both a Top-75 linebacker in the class and a Top-75 player out of the state of Florida. That’s according to the Rivals’ Industry Ranking, a a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He would go on to commit to FSU over other in-state programs like Florida, Miami, and UCF. When he did, Pritchard joined as part of what was the No. 20 recruiting class in the country in ’25 for the Seminoles.

No other details are known at this time about the incident or Pritchard’s status. More is to come by tomorrow, though, with confirmation to Warchant that Pritchard was in fact involved in this matter and is being seen to by medical personnel.
