Four-Star Alabama Recruit Issues Two Word Message After Massive Announcement originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Chris Booker is elated to join the Alabama Crimson Tide. On Sunday, Booker announced that he’s shutting down his recruitment process.
In a reply on X, the Atlanta-based interior offensive lineman expressed his feelings about joining the historical program. He summed it up in two words, “I’m home.”
Initially thought of as a three-star, Booker received an updated ranking on June 13, 2025. Even though he won’t be an immediate impact player, Booker is expected to be a long-term investment for Alabama and thus there was a major push by their staff to recruit him.
In February 2025, Alabama extended an offer to Booker and just 19 days later, he gave them a verbal commitment. After that, even though he visited 3 other schools, it looks like his mind was made up.
Before his visit to the Georgia Bulldogs facility, he spoke at length about how he perceives Alabama, and it looks like flipping this four-star recruit would have been impossible for any other program.
He said, “From the facilities to the coaches to the players to the tradition, you know it’s a long line of tradition.”
Booker explained that it does not matter that the Crimson Tide have had a rough season as they have the foundation required to bounce back stronger.
The four-star OL added, “You can tell by the players that they have, the coaches that they have, they just had Tyler Booker go round one, next year if he chooses to go, they’ll have Kadyn Proctor. All those guys, it’s a really good place for O-linemen to go. It’s a place I would go even if I wasn’t playing football.”
Chris Booker is not the only OL commit Kalen DeBoer and staff can look forward to since he’ll be joined by Sam Utu. Both of these top-tier offensive linemen showcase the high-ceiling class that Alabama has put together this off-season.
These additions will go a long way in building the program Kalen DeBoer was brought in to build. And they’ll provide long-term stability to a positional group that can make or break Alabama’s season.
Crimson Tide are set to kick off their season against Florida State Seminoles on 31 August 2025.
