Former Vols by the numbers in 2025 MLB Week 18

Week 18 of the 2025 MLB season has came to an end.

Four former Vols began the week in MLB: Jordan Beck (Colorado), Garrett Crochet (Boston), Seth Halvorsen (Colorado) and Chase Burns (Cincinnati).

Christian Moore has not returned to the Angels after sustaining a left thumb sprain in an attempt to field a ground ball at Atlanta on July 2. He was placed on the 10-day injured list on July 3 and the former Vol could return at the end of July.

Other former Vols who have played in MLB this season include Blade Tidwell (Mets), Trey Lipscomb (Washington) and Chase Dollander (Colorado).

Jordan Beck

Beck played at Tennessee from 2020-22. He recorded 18 home runs, 61 RBIs, 70 runs, 75 hits, 15 doubles, three triples, 37 walks and six stolen bases in 66 games during the Vols’ SEC championship season in 2022.

Seth Halvorsen

Seth Halvorsen

Halvorsen played at Tennessee from 2022-23. He did not play in 2022 due to injury. Halvorsen (3-3) appeared in 25 games, including one start, for the Vols in 2023, totaling 52 strikeouts and a 3.81 ERA in 52 innings.
