Former Spartan guard signs deal with Melbourne United of the Australian NBL

Tyson Walker as a star at Michigan State, spending his final three years in college with the program after transferring from Northeastern. Now, he is looking to find a professional playing career for himself.

In his first year away from the Spartans program, Walker played in the NBA G-League with the Texas Legends, an affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks. In ten games in the G-League, he averaged 14.8 points and 5.4 assists per game. Injury trouble kept him from playing more last season.

After his season in the NBA G-League, Walker will be going global for his next year of professional basketball. The former Spartan guard will be heading to the Australian National Basketball League, signing a deal with Melbourne United.

Details of the deal have not been fully released, but it was reported that it was a one year deal for Walker to go to Australia.
