Former Sixers guard Isaiah Joe has perfect night in Thunder home win

With the Philadelphia 76ers sitting out of the postseason for the first time since 2017, now is the time to look around the league and check in on some former Sixers to see how they’re making an impact on the current postseason landscape.

Former 2020 draft pick Isaiah Joe had himself a night off the bench for the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday. With the Thunder in need of a win after a Game 1 meltdown, Joe hopped off the pine to score 14 points on a perfect 5-for-5 shooting night including 4-for-4 from deep in a 149-103 romping of the Denver Nuggets in Game 2. The series is now tied 1-1 as things shift to the Mile High City.

Joe was a big piece for the Thunder as he moved well without the ball and was able to produce some big shots. He continues to play his role perfectly in OKC after the Sixers waived him after two seasons with the team.

The Thunder will need Joe to continue shooting the ball like this as they move forward in the playoffs. The Nuggets are a veteran-laden group who have been through plenty of playoff wars together so Game 3 from Ball Arena will be an interesting contest.
