Former Raiders Pro Bowl WR Hunter Renfrow is officially back in the NFL

Back in early March we reported that former Raiders Pro Bowl receiver Hunter Renfrow was attempting a comeback. A few weeks later, Renfrow was working out for NFL teams. His first stop was with the Carolina Panthers, but he left without a deal. Then Renfrow worked out for the Raiders, also leaving without signing a deal.

Now, a day after the conclusion of the NFL Draft, Renfrow has signed with a team. He has indeed joined his home state Panthers as he starts his NFL comeback attempt.

Renfrow was a round five pick by the Raiders back in 2019 and two years later entered the franchise record books. At the time, his 103 catches in the 2021 season were the third most in team history behind only Darren Waller and Tim Brown.

That season had him go to the Pro Bowl, but ensuing seasons saw injuries cost him playing time and his numbers dipped.

After being released following the 2023 season, he opted to spend a year away from the NFL. And as of early this year he began training for his return.

Congratulations to Hunter on breaking back into the NFL and getting to do it close to his home town of Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Hopefully he can return to the promising form he had early in his career with the Raiders.
