The Philadelphia Eagles climbed to the top of the mountain during the 2024 NFL season, beating the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX back in February.

They denied the Chiefs the chance of becoming the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowls and beat them in blowout fashion, 40-22. The Eagles were up 34-6 at the end of the third quarter before the Chiefs scored some garbage-time points in the fourth quarter.

Former Alabama Crimson Tide and current Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was the MVP of Super Bowl LIX, finishing with 293 total yards and three touchdowns. Two of his touchdowns were through the air, while the other was on the ground.

He got his Super Bowl ring after helping the Eagles win their second Super Bowl in franchise history, but doesn’t want to wear it. He explained to the media that he has “moved on to a new year.”

“I’ve moved on, I’ve moved on to the new year and it’s as simple as that,” Hurts told reporters on Wednesday.

Hurts is looking forward and wants to help the Eagles go back-to-back during the 2025 NFL season. He’ll probably wear his Super Bowl ring at some point in the future, but right now, he is hungry for more success.

The Eagles will open the 2025 NFL season against one of their biggest rivals, the Dallas Cowboys, on Thursday, September 4. They’ll get to raise their Super Bowl banner before the game starts at 8:20 p.m. ET.
