Coming off their third national championship in program history, thanks to an incredible 36-4 record last season. Because of this, many eyes around the college basketball world are on Todd Golden’s Gators as they attempt to win back-to-back titles for the second time this century.
As Florida tries to make a run again next season, it will have to face a gauntlet of a non-conference schedule to go along with the rugged SEC.
This week, the Gators finalized their non-conference opponents for the 2025-26 season, which includes seven games against power conference teams, with only one of which being played in Gainesville.
Florida finished out its opponents for next year’s regular season with the George Washington Revolutionaries and Miami Hurricanes.
The Gators announced Thursday they will be heading to South Florida to take on George Washington in the Orange Bowl Classic on Dec. 13. This will be the 24th time Florida will play in the event, as it brings a 19-4 record to Sunrise, Florida.
The Gators completed their schedule with an in-state showdown against Miami at the Jacksonville Hoops Showdown on Nov. 16, the team announced Friday. Florida has a great history against the Hurricanes, winning 46 of the 69 previous meetings all time.
The Gators will return to Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena for the second consecutive year, as Florida opened its 2024-25 season in Jacksonville with a victory against the South Florida Bulls.
With their schedule now set for next season, the Gators will look to follow what was an incredible campaign last year with another deep run in March.
