Fantasy football strategy, or luck, revolves around starting the “boom-or-bust” types of players in the correct week of the season.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams has been that guy so far in his short career. Williams was WR19 in 2024, and has shown to be a threat both receiving and rushing. There will however be a question on if he will be utilized the same way by new offensive coordinator John Morton.
In 2024, Williams had 10 double-digit point games, including four 20+ points per game performances. He also turned in three games with fewer than two points, and missed two other games altogether.

Taking Williams as a full-time fantasy football starter in most leagues is putting a lot of faith in his ability to contribute every week. There will absolutely be weeks where he blows the top off of the opposing defense multiple times and carries your fantasy team to a win, but there will also be weeks where you wish you would’ve started literally anyone else.
Williams is a lofty WR3 option with solid flex value and a ceiling on the moon.
